FAQ

Q: Doesn't physical therapy need to be hands on?

A: It's true that we use hands on techniques to get some of our clients better. What most of our clients tell us is the most valuable part of their treatment is the knowledge of what is happening with their body and pain and what the plan is to get better. We are able to do that through our virtual physical therapy assessment which allows us to watch you move and perform testing to determine the cause of your pain.

Q: What happens on my first visit?

A: Your first visit will be a very thorough assessment and give you a clear understanding of what your pain or problem is, what the plan is to get you back to your goals, and we will start your exercise program that day. You will leave with exercises and information to jumpstart your recovery roadmap.

Q: What makes you different from another physical therapist?

A: You won't hear us telling you that you need to stop running, working out, exercising because of your injury. We will work with you on how to stay as active as possible and get you back to doing what you love. You will always receive personalized, one on one care that gives you the best possible opportunity to recovery as quickly as possible.

Q: Do I need equipment for virtual sessions?

A: Most likely, no. We are able to be adaptive with the exercises we give you based on what equipment you have available. Even if you don't have any equipment, we will be able to get you started with body weight exercise.

Why wait and keep missing workouts, living in pain or missing out on activities you enjoy when you could take the first step in your recovery?

We have helped so many people in DC recover from injury and get back to doing what they love. Here’s a few of their stories.

Jesse was an incredible help in my journey of recovering from a weightlifting injury! He addressed the acute pain and mobility issues, identified underlying weaknesses to work on, and helped me relearn basics like good form and breathing. His holistic approach helped me not only get back to where I was, but to come back stronger than before!

I was training for my first ultra and was having some issues with my right knee. I was looking for a Doctor of Physical Therapy who would work with me and not just advise me to “stop running”. Jesse not only kept me running well through my training cycle through regular appointments, he was available via email for questions and got me into the office quickly when things came up so I did not miss workouts. His treatment and focus on strength was key to the successful completion of my race. I have worked with many PTs over the years and Jesse ranks at the top. I would highly recommend Jesse to any athlete who is looking for a partner in achieving their goals.
