NICKI FERRAMOSCA INTRO

Updated: Nov 27, 2022

Allow me to introduce myself!  My name is Nicki Ferramosca and I have been practicing physical therapy for 17+ years.  I originally considered physical therapy as a profession when I was a sophomore at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.  I studied biology and loved human biology specifically. PT was a great fit for me where I could continue my work in human sciences and also spend time helping people achieve their goals.

Throughout my career I have specialized in orthopedic conditions and most specifically, working with active people.  Joining District Performance & Physio allows me to work with those active people every day in a setting that gives me the autonomy to focus on each and every patient.  It’s a bonus that I also get to work with my former colleague and best friend (editor’s note: awww you’re going to make me cry).

My treatment sessions always begin with time for you to talk to me about what brings you in, what concerns you have and what your goals are.  I then conduct a thorough evaluation and assessment to determine your true cause of those concerns and then come up with a plan to get you back to doing what you want to do and with extra information on how to stay active.  Hands on treatment, exercise and mobility as well as education on any modifications that may be necessary. We are a team from that first session moving forward!

When I’m not spending time helping people in the clinic, you can find me running around in DC, at a barre class or trying desperately to get better at tennis.  My young twins keep me going and our thirst for travel keeps me moving too!
